In this blog post, we'll outline how you can become a qualified Motorbike MOT Tester in the United Kingdom.
To work as an MOT Tester in the UK, you'll first need to complete an accredited BTEC or City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles.
Once you've completed the qualification, you'll need to apply for an MOT Tester licence from DVSA. The application process involves passing a Theory and Hazard Perception Test, as well as a practical assessment.
Once you've been issued with an MOT Tester licence, you'll be able to work at an authorised MOT testing station.
Can I Become a Motorbike MOT Tester Without Being a Mechanic?

The DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) regulates MOTs in the UK. As of 2018, there are certain requirements that must be met to become an MOT Tester.
